Bush or small tree widespread on the karst, it blooms in the first days of April.

The honey of this wild cherry has a medium intensity smell and aroma that recalls the cherry stone and bitter almond; very valuable for the small quantities produced and because the production is limited only to the karst area, there is no other area in Italy where the morello cherry is produced.
